Summary
Director of Human Resources, you will be responsible for directing the development, implementation and coordination of Human Resources policies, procedures and programs.
Basic Purpose:
The Director of Human Resources is responsible for directing the development, implementation and coordination of Human Resources policies, procedures and programs while assuring adherence to state, federal and other statutory guidelines, related to the following: employment, employee relations, benefits, compensation, incentive compensation, executive compensation, retention and trainings, health and safety, organizational development and other employee services. Position may be responsible for overseeing facilities management.
Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Directs the interpretation and consistent application of established human resources policies throughout the organization.
2. Maintains overall supervision of the organization's recruitment, placement and training programs assuring compliance with all Title VII laws, ADA regulations and with the Equal Employment.
3. Ensures that the business unit's Affirmative Action Program is compliant and up to date at all times.
4. Works through employee relations issues in accordance with the organization's polices and all applicable federal and state laws and other regulations.
5. Administers wage and salary policies and structures and performance appraisal programs.
6. Assures that the organization's compensation program is competitive and equitable and follow the Corporate Compensation department's compensation philosophy and guidelines.
7. Exercises general supervision over all organization benefit programs and services.
8. Directs and maintains various activities designed to promote and maintain a high level of employee morale.
9. May exercise general supervision over the Environmental. Health and Safety (EHS) function insuring collaboration between the Human Resources organization and EHS.
10. May exercise general supervision over facilities maintenance.
11. Sits on the Senior Leadership team for the local Business Unit.
12. Performs other related duties as assigned by management.
Desired Experience
Education:
B.A. degree required
Advanced degree strongly preferred.
Work Experience:
Ten plus years of progressive Human Resources generalist experience.
Five plus years management experience.
$125,000 + Bonus – Cambridge, MA or Wallingford, CT with heavy travel between locations. (Reference # MEAmass)
