Summary
POSITION: Human Resources Coordinator - Monroe, CT / $50,000

OBJECTIVE OF POSITION:
Under moderate supervision, provide administrative support to ensure that the following Human Resources programs and processes are maintained in a current, efficient and customer focused manner: new hire on-boarding process, benefits enrollment, recognition programs, and employee records. Must be employee focused by providing professional, timely responses to employee requests. Maintaining confidentiality is a primary requirement of this position.

PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Respond to employee inquiries regarding interpretation and clarification of company policy
in a timely manner.
2. Employee file maintenance for all personnel.
3. Run scheduled and ad hoc reports from ReportSmith.
4. Assist HR Manager with annual Open Enrollment process.
5. Schedule candidate interviews.
6. Open, handle and route mail to appropriate HR personnel.
7. Process paid time off requests in TC1 system.
8. Enroll new hires electronically in medical, dental, vision, and flexible spending programs.
9. Complete COBRA paperwork and terminate coverage through the medical provider’s
website.
10. Process monthly insurance billings
11. Update exit interview metrics.
12. Point of contact for Employee Engagement Process; responsibilities include creating offer
letter and new hire packets, complete telephone reference check and background
investigation, administering the HR 1st day orientation and tour, and follow-up
with the new hires.
13. Maintain HR budget tracking data.
14. Log Workers’ Comp claims through provider website.
15. Work with Executive Assistant to update organization charts.
16. Process requests for the Sunshine Club.
17. Post open positions on various websites and newspapers.
18. Regularly update the open/closed job report.
19. Monitor outlook and intranet to ensure employees are inserted in the correct distribution list
and their respective information in the “phone book” is accurate.
20. Other duties as needed to contribute to achieving the departments and organizations
objectives.


JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Required:
• 3 - 5 years Human Resources experience in a support role.
• Strong computer skills (Excel and Outlook).
• Preferred experience with ADP, ReportSmith, and TC1.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Superior organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Commitment to maintaining confidentiality at all times.
