Summary
Human Resources Specialist – To $75k + Bonus


Summary
Reporting to the Director of HR for the US Go to Market Group this position will support both corporate and plant manufacturing initiatives and projects, and will be responsible for supporting the seamless delivery of a broad range of HR operational services and relevant solutions to the Company US, Supply Chain factory and corporate network. The employee populations for Company Supply Chain is located at various sites across the US with strong corporate presents in Ft Lee Area, NJ. Frequent overnight, day travel and extended site engagements may be expected between offices, manufacturing sites and at offsite meetings.

The position will need to provide support to the HR Director and four HR Managers on various assignments in areas such as investigations, special projects, labor contract analysis/negotiations preparation and rationalization work.


Position Responsibilities
1. Participate with Labor Relations staff in developing bargaining plans. This includes the gathering data for pre labor contract preparation analysis, trending and actual negotiations as needed.
2. Participate in various union and nonunion “community of practice” initiatives.
3. Support the Director of HR in various project initiatives.
4. Conduct workplace investigations, including Ethics Complaints across North America.
5. Maintain pre-employment testing process.
6. Work on factory based initiatives across the North American Supply Chain community. This would include the standardization of policies, conducting site audits and creating tools to leverage best practice.
7. Work on assignments for four geographical dispersed HR Managers. This may include talent and succession planning etc
8. Monitor affirmative action plan process. Participate in OFCCP site audits.
9. Long term plant assignments based on operational needs.
10. Other duties as assigned by management

6. Flexibility to work on various Supply Chain projects
7. Ability to work with and interface with all levels of Company employees outside of HR
8. Potential for extended travel and long term assignments at plant locations.

Scope
1. Work across Supply Chain at both plant and Corporate levels in Canada, the United States and Puerto Rico. This includes 38 factory sites.
2. Work with various HR areas such as compensation and talent.
3. Perform functional assignments for multiple managers.

Skills and Competencies
• Solid understanding of PeopleSoft, WORD, Excel. Well grounded in HR terminology, systems and legal compliance.
• Organizational Awareness, Holding People Accountable, Empowering Others, Strategic Influencing, Team Commitment
• BA/BS in related field required.
• Masters preferred ( Labor/Industrial Relations/Human Resources)

Work Experience:
3 -5years of previous experience in HR.
Previous HR Business Partner experience is desirable for this role.
Exposure to and interactions with line management desirable. Unionized site experience preferred. Individual must be able to multi-task in a fast paced environment.
