Summary
Director, Compensation - $100 – 135k + Bonus – Madison, NJ
Job function:
1. Provide leadership for the Corporate Compensation staff who oversee annual salary planning (merit and bonus administration), field compensation consultation, salary survey library, market pricing and job evaluation, and the design and implementation of compensation programs. This includes all domestic and international client groups.
2. Oversee the performance development and review process, in partnership with Leadership Development function, including design and development of standard review documents, process improvements, and field education.
3. Design, develop, implement, and monitor effectiveness for sales incentive plans for all segments of the business. This includes voice of the customer studies, working with cross-functional teams, securing approvals, documentation, education and communication, and quarterly assessments pay effectiveness. Participate in broader sales effectiveness projects to ensure that the Compensation function is represented and aligned.
4. Oversee incentive plan design and administration for the Medical population (Pathologists).
5. Participate and/or lead the research of cutting edge approaches to creative compensation. Includes staying abreast of market changes/dynamics, determining applicability in our culture, reviewing findings with management, and bringing the program to market.
6. Keep apprised of federal, state, and local compensation laws and regulations in order to ensure company compliance.
7. Responsible for change management with specific focus on I transparency of reward to performance at all levels.
8. Experience preparing reports and presentations for senior management, business leaders and the compensation committee.
Supervision Exercised:
The Director, Compensation will supervise other employees as directed by the VP, Compensation and Benefits.
Education preferred:
Bachelor's degree required, Master's degree and CCP certifcation preferred
Desired Experience
Work experience:
Ten plus years of progressively responsible compensation experience including at least three years in a leadership capacity and at least three years designing and consulting on sales compensation plans. Experience with Medical personnel compensation and total compensation for non-exempt populations a plus.
