Summary
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
• Develop, design and implement all compensation and benefits programs for the company, ensuring support for the company’s strategic goals in a cost-effective manner.
• Direct the development, implementation and administration of US employee benefit policies, procedures and practices, including health and welfare, 401(k) plans and stock purchase plans. Oversee the annual design, implementation, communication and administration of all company benefits, including all healthcare, dental, vision, wellness, voluntary benefits and disability plans.
• Direct the annual compensation review process, ensuring salary and incentive awards actions are consistent with policy, overseeing exceptions and managing the overall process.
• Evaluate and design variable pay and long term incentive programs for all levels of the company, including the sales force.
• Develop and maintain competitive compensation market information and prepare analysis for senior management as appropriate. Lead the process of evaluating salary reviews and compensation structure.
• Identify compensation trends in the medical device marketplace and general industry to ensure the company’s competitive position.
• Identify trends in critical labor markets that will have significant impact on the company with regard to the attraction and retention of employees in key positions.
• Responsible for HR data management, development of analytics and reporting through HRIS. Maintain business requirements for HRIS.
• Develop and implement a communication strategy and program that accurately explains the company’s philosophy on compensation and benefits.
• Provide guidance and leadership to compensation, benefits and HRIS staff. Supervise, motivate and direct employees to obtain optimal productivity. Ensure effective staffing, training and development of the organization, as well as develop succession plans for future growth and stability.
Desired Experience
Education/Skills/Experience
• Bachelor’s Degree or higher required.
• Minimum 10 years of broad-based strategic global compensation experience.
• Minimum 5 years benefits management experience, preferable in a public company.
• Must have familiarity with ERP systems, preferably Oracle.
• Highly developed analytical, leadership, managerial and
communication skills.
• Track record of success in continually changing industries with regard to compensation and benefits programs.
• History of developing and implementing cost effective solutions to meet the compensation and benefit needs of the business.
• Sound business knowledge required to assess the cost implications of proposed compensation and benefits programs and the impact to financial performance of the company.
• Solid track record of innovation and creativity in the design and development of compensation and benefits programs.
• Proficiency in MS office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Excellent analytical, organizational and time management skills.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, consulting and influencing skills. Ability to effectively interact with all levels of the organization.
