Summary
Manager, Human Resources – Phoenix, AZ – to $85,000 + Bonus
This position will focus on advising Company Tax & Accounting management in personnel policy and program matters, and making or recommending appropriate decisions. The Human Resources Manager will also ensure the consistent application of policies, procedures and practices across the Company, ensuring compliance from a legal perspective. Under the direction of the Human Resources Director, will assist with the analysis, design, development, maintenance, revision and implementation of employee programs and services that enhance and optimize working conditions within the Company. Additionally, will analyze Human Resources trend information to recommend changes to practices and policies and improve employee retention.
• Assist managers and employees in understanding and applying Human Resources tools in order to maximize employee performance, achieve organizational effectiveness, improve employee engagement, and ensure legal compliance.
• Responsible for implementation and administration of most or all of the following human resources functions: employment, employee relations, equal opportunity, organizational development, affirmative action, performance management, and health and safety services programs for assigned clients.
• Manage relationships with line managers within respective business units to ensure timely and effective support is provided in all areas of Human Resources.
• Interact with both management and employee groups to resolve employee relations issues.
• Participate in staff counseling opportunities when appropriate.
• Ensure the adherence to the corrective action policy and performance improvement policy.
• Assist and counsel employees who experience problems arising through deviations from policy.
• Assist and counsel management regarding administration of policy.
• Oversees the activities of the personnel and records.
• Promotes Human Resources as a business partner to managers and support to employees so they are able to use Human Resources business tools effectively.
• Partners with Company Tax & Accounting full time recruiter and line management to fill openings with qualified candidates and maintains applicant tracking posting information in Taleo.
• Assists in applying robust, consistent and fair recruitment processes to ensure the company hires employees who meet current and future business nee
Desired Experience
Qualifications:
• Bachelor's Degree and 5 - 7 years of Human Resources Employee Relations experience.
• 3 to 5 years of Human Resources Management level experience.
• SPHR or PHR preferred.
• Thorough knowledge of a broad range of Human Resources responsibility.
• Working knowledge of PeopleSoft HRIS.
• General understanding of industry issues.
• General understanding of technology issues and effects within the workplace.
• Demonstrated knowledge of communication techniques both written and verbal.
• Must be able to analyze Human Resources trend data to recommend changes to policies and practices.
• Must have a strong customer focus for internal as well as external customers.
• Must be adaptable, a team player and able to achieve results tied to business initiatives.
• Must be detail oriented and able to multi-task on an ongoing basis.
• Must be able to effectively manage multiple remote locations.
