We are searching for a Director of Human Resources supporting our Local Market & Domestic Operations teams. The HR Director is responsible for directing Human Resources activities for Local & Domestic operations. The HR Director will provide support in the planning, development, implementation, administration, and evaluation of company HR programs and initiatives. These programs/initiatives encompass several HR functions such as employment, employee relations, labor relations, performance management, compensation, benefits, employee coaching, project management, and EEO/affirmative action responsibilities. Essential duties and responsibilities, shown below, will vary accordingly based on assignment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Provide day to day counsel to field clients regarding business and HR issues for corporate, agency, licensee, and locations across multiple sites and companies nationwide.
Drive HR activities such as recruiting, performance management, talent planning, and employee relations.
Ensure forecasting and fulfillment of staffing needs via internal/external sourcing, interviews, hires, orientation, and retention of high quality professional, managerial, technical and clerical staff.
Acts as a change facilitator to ensure senior management recognizes, addresses, implements, and follows through on action items developed against the opportunities identified by employee survey processes.
Conducts local market surveys and works with organization's Compensation function on identifying appropriate wage and salary levels
Provides continuous support and interpretation to management and staff on HR policies, employee relations issues, and affirmative action and diversity goals to ensure compliance.
Supervisory Responsibilities
Ensures proper staffing and the use of overtime hours to maximize the effectiveness of the Human Resources function.
Conducts annual performance appraisals for direct reports, recommends salary increases, provides individual feedback to improve performance, and initiates corrective action in response to personnel problems.
Reviews and approves salary increases for indirect reports.
Oversees the training of new employees to perform their duties in a manner consistent with company standards.

Bachelors Degree
Minimum of 5 - 8 years as a Human Resource Manager
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Broad knowledge of Human Resources disciplines, which include: Staffing, Employee Relations, Labor Relations, Compensation, Benefits, Training/Management Development and Personnel policies and procedures
Working knowledge of human resource terminology, practices and their application required
Strong PC and analytical skills (MS Office Suite of products Outlook, Word, Excel, Access
Ability to effectively interface with all levels of management
Detail oriented with strong communication skills
Experienced working in a fast paced environment with the ability to multi-task
Occasional travel required - 25%
